The humble beginnings

Christchrisaudmaskopher Moss began performing professionally early 1981 during his enlistment in the United States Air Force. It all started with a local competition titled Tops In Blue which is the Air Force version of the USO. After completion of his tour of duty, Christopher once again joined the world as a civilian. While living in Michigan, Christopher joined an organization called the International Brotherhood of Magicians, a world wide organization dedicated to the magical chrisawardsperforming arts. They had a local chapter (ring) where magicians met on a monthly basis to help each other hone their crafts. Through this Ring he also discovered the Society of American Magicians, and has since been a member of both. Christopher began competing among his peers, receiving many awards for his achievements. Through these competitions and great advice from his magical peers, he developed his own personal style of magic. It was this style of magic that headed Audrey and he onto the road  performing for all types of venues

“Teamed up with Creatures Great and Small and won the 2001 Texas
Association of Fairs and Expositions” Best Exhibit Award.

How  ” Tropical Illusions ” was born

chrismerlin1wintertigeraudreyThis was like a dream come true for the Moss family, but something was still missing . In the later years, the Moss family was fortunate to become volunteers at a wildlife sanctuary. Audrey and Christopher have always had a love for animals and have spent many years volunteering for various animal sanctuaries. Starting from cage cleaning and working their way up to raising exotic birds and big cats, it is through this experience that they saw the need to educate and help make a difference for our animal friends. This is when they knew in their hearts, they had to apply their magical talents to help make a difference in the world for all animals. They had found what was missing! Magic with Meaning. Tropical Illusions was formed out of a desire to entertain and educate. Through this inspiration, a unique, one of a kind program had been born. Through Tropical Illusions, edutainers Christopher and Audrey Moss utilize comedy, audience participation, and illusions to raise awareness of our environment and the magnificent creatures that inhabit our world.
